The Econcult team has met with different Valencian institutions over the past couple of weeks to present the Interreg MED Chebec project and explore any possible opportunities for collaboration. In addition to presenting all the relevant information, Econcult has also presented a work plan as part of the pilot Chebec project, taking place in Valencia with a list of 15 selected collaborating organisations. Special attention has been paid to the contents of the initial phase, a training programme comprising 7 sessions (28 hours in total) designed to develop internationalisation competencies.
The first meeting was with María Dolores Parra, Director General for Internationalisation. In addition to the presentation of the Chebec project, this meeting intended to evaluate collaboration opportunities with IVACE, particularly in relation to the support that this institution offers to Valencia businesses looking to expand internationally. An area of singular interest concerned IVACE’s internationalisation support programme under the name “Cheque Tutorías Internacionalización”.
The second appointment was with Cristina Martínez Vayá, Regional Director at ICEX in Valencia, with whom we discussed the Chebec project and drafted a collaboration agreement.
The final meeting in this series was with Vicente Mompó, Director of the International Department at the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia.
The first outputs of these sessions will include the participation of ICEX and the Chamber of Commerce (IVACE has already taken part) in the Chebec training programme currently being organised by Econcult. The objective of their collaboration is to bring the range of services relating to the provision of internationalisation support to Valencia cultural organisations.
